Quan Chee supports WELSI Membership

The Women in Executive Leadership Solomon Islands (WELSI) acknowledges prominent Honiara business Quan Chee Motors for their continuous support towards the work WELSI does in empowering women in leadership roles across various sectors in the Solomon Islands

WELSI President, Ms Pamela Naesol made the acknowledgement following the successful hosting of WELSI’s flagship training event, the 7th Solomon Islands Senior Executive Women in Leadership Program in Honiara in April 2026.

This was after Quan Chee Motors donated SBD10,000 for WELSI to cover the membership of one-hundred members to encourage membership and highlight the importance of having partners to support the advancement of women into executive and decision-making roles.

“We have seen women showing interest in becoming WELSI members but were not supported by their employers which is why Quan Chee Motors have decided to pledge support to allow such women to have access to WELSI’s membership, and we are highly appreciative of such gestures from corporate houses”, said Ms. Naesol.

“WELSI’s achievements as a growing organization and platform to advance more Solomon Islands women into executive roles will only be possible through strategic partnerships and support such as this. As an organization growing from scratch, our ability to fully advance our objectives is limited by the current capacity at which we are operating. Strategic collaboration with wider stakeholders in the Gender Equality space therefore is necessary.

We are so fortunate to have a very strong Board of Directors comprising professional women with a broad skillset who continue to volunteer their time and expertise to support the progress of WELSI’s growth and objectives,” Pamela continues.

“Our vision to provide advocacy support, ecosystem development and strengthening for women in executive leadership can only be achieved by working collaboratively with all partners and supporters alike,” she added.

WELSI is a member-driven organization dedicated to empowering women in leadership roles across various sectors in the Solomon Islands.

By fostering mentorship, advocacy, and skill-building, WELSI aims to create a more inclusive and equitable professional landscape.
